Children's toy cars are made of die cast metal because it is cheap, so are Ibanez tremolos. The wood in the body of 95% of their product is fairly cheap (around 10% of the guitars shipped where unplayable) and so it goes on.
I like Ibanez, they are great guitars, they just work but they are a triumph of? mass production and sharp marketing.
I wouldn't be surprised if some fakes are '2nd' originals.

The humbucker bobbins and single coil covers are made from different types of plastic that start out the same colour but fade differently. Whos to say the fakes are worse guitars? I found Ibanez trems break easily, the wood is cheap and? the pickups have no character. I love Ibanez guitars but they are like buying a Mazda, an E-Type is not as fast but what an experience! :o)

They come with either the Ibanez Edge, Edge Pro, Edge Pro II, Edge Pro III bridges, which basically are modifications of the original Floyd Rose bridge made by Ibanez. That is why it says that it is licensed under Floyd Rose patent. The Ibanez Edge or Edge Pro bridges are excellent bridges; they are designed to withstand excessive tremolo work while staying in tune!
