you know... morons

Video duration: 27 seconds
This piece of the fabulous film "Blazing Saddles" encapsulates my feelings about many legislators who discuss evolution in the USA - they show their idiocies.
I dedicate this video to the members of the Tennessee Assembly Education Committee and especially John DeBerry Jr, a Democrat - yes a Democrat.

It is an interesting question and it is always interesting to hear the? answer to the question.

Hah, great? stuff, and the one point no one ever seems to have a decent answer to.

I have to say I don't believe there is a miracle answer - actually the answer changes with the situation and the ideologues are sometime the most dangerous as they then try to fit the situation to their ideology rather than the other way? round.

I don't so much mind if people say that they have the answer,? as long as they present the basis for their answer and back up whatever measures they want to take in government with a solid economic plan. Neither the Libertarians or the extreme left tends to do this. they just have an end in mind but no solid plan for getting there.

The libertarians and the far left both say "we have the answer and it is..." just vote for us and it? will all be sorted - I think the older I get the more cynical of that sort of politics I get.

Not that things in? Denmark are looking as bad as in most of the rest of Europe. as a nation with 5 million citizens and a national surplus of about 50 billion euro, we are doing alright.

Here in Denmark, the youth seems pretty much divided between the Liberal parties, and the extreme left wing party called Unity (basically as communist as you get without being an actual communist). I think you are right if you imply that voting for a socialist social "agenda" is a? product of a sense of higher social responsibility. We had a recent election up here, and went from a Liberal government to a Socialist government, so I hope things are looking up for us.

I wonder if it is a feature of getting older and feeling responsible? The? FDP in Germany at the moment look like a student party with a VERY young leadership and they are in a mess as their sole policy - cut taxes is not an option.

As I grow older I feel myself slipping more and more to the left on the political scale. I used to vote for? the Danish Liberal party, but, since taking an economic education and thinking more and more about my fellow men and women, I have become a Liberal-Socialist.
