Drooker's work is typcially a bit more stark and formally abstract, but thematically his works resonate totally with "Howl." "Flood" is a graphic novel composed of jagged lino-cuts in three colors (black, white, blue...and a little splotch of red!) and, like "Howl" includes an suggestion of optimism at the end. The animated short is a rare triumph; the poem is actually enhanced.
