Sauron* ... Sauron forged the One ring in wich he stored most of his power to get eaven stronger... then isildur cut off the ring from saurons hand to wich he lost most of his power and his fizikal form. And the reason he wants the ring is that it corrupts you when you use it. and Smeagel used it ALOT as you get to know in the books. and bilbo wasnt corrupt from? the start because at first he did not use it that much.
