No it isn't, for any given situation, the number? of legal moves a play can make is finite.

Fischer was nuts via DNA. His biological dad and mother? were quite bonkers.
By: rachelmcadamslover. on 22 May 12, 23:27:39
why did chess make fisher mad? is thinking too much bad for your brain? I always thought? it was actually good for you...unless an obsession over the game caused him to become mad.
By: CrunchyPotatoes. on 22 May 12, 13:49:24
Agreed. The problem is that chess is so much more diffiult to? get into than football and therefore it won't as easily appeal to a large group of people.
By: esdenaze. on 22 May 12, 10:10:20
You are very right, but still there used to be a bbc chess program not thàt long ago when football was also the most popular sport.? I wish that it would be given at least some space.
By: CrunchyPotatoes. on 21 May 12, 15:30:48
If they are recognised that means the majority agrees. Your opinion don't need to be the same and it may be right for you and the ones who share it but that still does not make it official. The majority always wins, that's how the world is. For example, I think that football is overrated and boring as **** and that it? shouldn't take up such a huge space, but most people do not agree with me which makes my opinion worthless. Football will continue to be popular wether I like it or not.
By: sdboltman17dm. on 21 May 12, 14:11:46
Curling and chess are not sports, no matter if they are recognized.? And more people share my opinion than yours. That is all.
By: CrunchyPotatoes. on 21 May 12, 14:05:14
Curling IS a sport. Again, your argument is invalid. The decision if something is a sport or not is not one that you can take. You are only? one person, in the end your opinion is worth next to nothing. If something is recognised as a sport there is nothing you can say against it, the majority always wins. THAT is indeed the end of ths discussion.
By: rzink92. on 21 May 12, 03:16:50
not? just a sport but an olympic sport! even better
By: sdboltman17dm. on 21 May 12, 01:50:02
Please, they also recognize curling as a sport. THAT? ends the discussion

the number of combinations for that many pieces? and configurations is so large, it's acceptable to just say infinite
By: CrunchyPotatoes. on 20 May 12, 07:42:59
Wooow, why so agressive all of a sudden??? But no, sport does not require any sort of physical exertion, even though most sports are indeed of physical nature, that is a common mistake. Chess is recognised as a sport by the International? Olympic Committee and ends the discussion.
By: sdboltman17dm. on 20 May 12, 04:33:56
To be a sport, it actually requires physical exertion, retard?
By: aznkevSUNFLOWER. on 19 May 12, 22:10:51
well it? is a very large inconceivable number
By: CrunchyPotatoes. on 19 May 12, 21:11:08
Football is a game and a sport. Your argument is? invalid.
By: Cambridge006. on 18 May 12, 09:40:52
It is infinite - hence the 50-move rule. Otherwise, pieces could keep moving amongst each other for an? infinite amount of time
