It does not use a hop up Nub, The hop up packing has a built in? nub and a plastic piece pushes down on it therefore creating a very inaccurate hop up unit. I personally melted mine off and made room for a hop up nub and a normal hop up packing used in TM AEG's and works great (and the compressionhad a major increase i suggest all mp7 aep owners to do this.)
