Can i please ask, the cross tattoo some skinheads are seen with on their fingers; what does it mean? I was informed it is symbolic of them being crucified by society because they get put in the same category as "boneheads" so basically the cross is an anti racist thing worn by the TRUE skinheads. Is this correct? the only? reason i ask is i really like the idea, I have a lot of black skinned friends, but coming from the background i do, i am looked upon as racist, which i certainly am not.

I'm a Puerto Rican skinhead currently living in the United States and it's rather tiresome having to explain to ignorant hicks and ghetto derelicts that I'm not racist and that true skins were never such. But I stand tall and keep my chin up....Because I look European people right away assume I'm a bonehead which is utter bollocks but oh well! Then again, most don't even remember what a skinhead even is or what they dressed like? here in this part of Pennsylvania since most faded into obscurity.

It was great to listen to this. I have tried and failed to get this across to a number of people who arrived in this country in the 80's. My brother was a skinhead and he was black. Sadly he died two years ago but I have tried to explain to certain people that true skinheads are not racists. Right-wing elements have jumped on the idea of skinheads. True skinheads listen to? reggae music and are working class who take a pride in what they have and have a love for Jamaica.
