I've been a silent film buff since I was about 13 when I first saw a? few of Lon Chaney's films (watch them if you haven't yet, especially The Unknown, The Phantom of the Opera, and Hunchback of ND; if anyone was an artist, he was!), I instantly fell in love with the genre and now as an adult I still feel more connected to those films than anything today.
