Video duration: 193 seconds
Global video hits: 12574450
BB King plays live guitar solo. This came from the extras on the DVD The Road to Memphis: www.pbs.org And the only other complete performance by BB on the extras is Key to the Highway, which doesn't have this incredibly searing guitar and is in fact pretty "lite". The radio stations pay bands or their labels royalties to get the airplay.?
By: esauerkraut. on 28 Apr 12, 22:23:21
This song could be the instruction manual on what makes a great rock-n-roll song. It's so fundamently balanced that, if you've heard it more than a couple times, it seems like THE song to have run around in your head every now and then....."I'm gettin' in tune; right in tune....". Perfect. Think I'll replay it a couple more? times now.

RIP John? Entwistle
By: clownwithoutmakeup. on 14 Apr 12, 13:45:52
i am just talking about classic rock stations, which pay for older songs, and the rights to established songs cost money to have, so they makes most of their money from advertisers. now, modern stations receive mixed sources of income from recording companies trying to push unestablished songs/artists into hits and? advertisers, plus having advertisers. since their libraries are in a constant flux of new songs, their playlists switch more than classic hits stations.
By: CoastGuardIDC. on 14 Apr 12, 03:49:00
really?...I didn't know this....I figured artists would "die" for more of their songs to get airplay....so, stations that play current "rock" music have to pay bands to play their? music?
By: TubeMebro. on 02 Apr 12, 00:15:06
7? ppl are not in tune
By: clownwithoutmakeup. on 29 Mar 12, 01:35:06
well, the problem with classic rock radio stations is that they have a limited library of songs that? they have the rights to play, so they usually can only buy the rights to a few songs by bands, thus the same songs over and over again

Awesome song, RIP Keith? Moon.

...Right on with your assessment in regards to conventional? radio....peace...
By: bradchaz. on 15 Mar 12, 02:22:06
You are absolutely right. A perfect example would be a DJ announcing the following: "Coming up next, we'll hear from Lynyrd Skynryd", and 9 times out of 10 they will play "Sweet Home Alabama", "That Smell", or "Gimme Three Steps". All are good tunes, but there's NO variety. I totally gave up on "regular" radio, and listen to Sirius XM all the time, which is where I first heard this? song.
By: etrius24. on 07 Mar 12, 05:57:39
I call the local classic rock station daily.. I leave voicemails and send emails... I pester at them to play songs like this... I am a massive Who fan.. but I want to hear something other than behind blue eyes or I can see for miles and miles... They NEVER PLAY THIS SONG AND IT PISSES ME OFF.... Last FM, Satellite Radio ( classic Vinyl ) Pandora are the last vestiges of real music... Enbrace them... enjoy them and support them people.... Long Live Rock be? it dead or alive.

still better than going from? California to Flordia and hearing the same rap songs lol
By: gf19711. on 17 Feb 12, 02:32:04
I don't know about that -? Who's Next completely revolutionized the use of synthesizers in rock music, and that influence was felt through the 70s, 80s and beyond.
By: gamesDAMNED. on 08 Feb 12, 03:59:53
Well, in all fairness, Nirvana was one band of many that exploded in 1991. And that music revolution took a decade to grow and build momentum. There's never been anything like that in pop music history. For whatever reason, Teen Spirit became the? anthem of the moment, and Kurt Cobain became our patron saint. I still can't quite explain it, to be honest. These things just happen, and then the historians cram it all into easy-to-digest stories.
By: sharplespaul. on 06 Feb 12, 04:34:24
ok here is the real deal ,,, the tune is written from a musicians point of? view for the sake of writing great music ( and if its musical art who gives a shit what the words say?) its about the music and thats why pop singers die with out a real band behind them and why classic rock lives on most of it is art ? in my opinion
By: harmike17. on 02 Feb 12, 07:40:34
WHO were the 7 fucksticks? WHO disliked this.. WHO ARE YOU!!!
By: dinger32768. on 28 Jan 12, 08:40:01
My? bias says Who's Next is Who's best.
By: gheffty93. on 27 Jan 12, 20:33:11
I believe that is opinion. It could be argued that Nevermind is? more influential overall, since it basically launched grunge and a ton of 90s music. Not saying it is better, but maybe you are biased saying this.
By: Philmod68. on 26 Jan 12, 16:47:03
Probably my absolute FAVORITE song on this album! Thanks? Pete!! : ) Keith's fills on this song are perfect...Roger perfect feel/diction...John playing awesome as always....::SIGH::
