Hey, Scott! Can't ... By: Giotheblogger. on 29 Nov 09, 13:28:03 Hey, Scott! Can't tell you how much I appreciate your taking time to look at these things! There is some dispute about whether or not Magdalene was a prostitute...inconsistent evidence, at best. In my judgment, it's likely, but not certain. Also, there is no evidence, from what I've read, of her being Jesus' wife, although who the heck knows what about his life was left out of the Gospels because it didn't? fit the authors' purposes, right? And a cautionary tale...I think you're on to something!

By: Giotheblogger. on 15 Jun 11, 14:22:06 The more I reflect on this painting, the more I'm convinced the light is moonlight,? not sunlight, and the man is entering to begin his day (fishing), not end it. Doesn't really change my interpretation, but the solitude of the man is certainly enhanced by it.

Silvio è la maggioranza. Buon Silvio a tutti.

Nice to hear that someone still reads Wallace Stevens, too. Grossly neglected and under-rated? - possibly America's best 20th century poet. Thank you -again.
For our 50th show, we take a look back at the last 49 works considered, and say thank you to our viewers. A retrospective with Phil Angotti's power-pop gem from FLOWER BOMB (2001), "Pain in the Brain"
